The historic campus is nestled in a beautiful hilltop setting yet close to city life – schedule a visit and find out why West Liberty is a choice you can be proud of.

At West Liberty, you are not a number. And you can expect to get personal attention and assistance from any of our four exceptional colleges: the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Sciences.  Through these four colleges West Liberty offers more than 60 programs ranging from Health Service Management to Secondary Education to Nursing to Digital Media Design to a variety of Pre-professional programs.

Let’s also not forget the richness that clubs and groups bring to West Liberty.  We offer more than 70 to choose from including fraternities and sororities, academic honoraries, service organizations, music, and other special interest groups.

West Liberty is a member of the NCAA Div. II and the WVIAC offering 15-intercollegiate sports for men and women.  Many of our teams consistently qualify for Div. II post-season play, while earning national recognition for academic achievement.

West Liberty is a quality, affordable educational opportunity. More than 83% of West Liberty students receive some kind of financial aid, and our Financial Aid office can help you apply for grants, loans, and work-study programs. It is encouraged that if you need financial aid to apply early to be considered for all financial aid options – the priority deadline is March 1 to submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

To be eligible for admission, students need a high school cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 or a 4.0 scale and an 18 on the ACT.  AN 870 combined critical/reading and math score on the SAT may be substituted.  In addition, freshman students must have completed the following units of high school credit: 4 English, 3 Social Studies, 4 Mathematics, 3 Science, 1  Fine Arts and 2 Foreign Language.
