Tuesday Tour Day – College of St. Joseph

pro_College of SaintJoseph_11This week we’re touring College of St. Joseph in Vermont!

College of St. Joseph is a Catholic college offering associate, bachelor and master degree programs to students with diverse backgrounds and varied faiths.  With our campus located in Rutland, Vermont in the heart of some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the U.S., you will experience the best of Vermont—the Green Mountains, the friendliness of rural community living, clean air and a safe environment in which to study.

CSJ offers degrees in Arts & Sciences, Business, Criminal Justice, Education and Human Services & Psychology.  Its academic programs blend theory and practice and provide students with a diverse array of internship opportunities.  The student-centered spirit that permeates campus life creates a personalized approach to higher education that promotes your personal and professional development, intellectual growth, and community service.

CSJ believes that a strong liberal arts core linked to a robust career-oriented major will help you become a well-rounded person and a competent professional. Many courses have field work attached. As you progress in your program, your advisor will encourage you to enroll in an internship to apply your knowledge and skills in a “real world” setting. Consequently, the college’s job placement rates are high and its alumni have experienced great success in their professions and in their pursuit of advanced degrees.

At CSJ we understand the importance of athletics in the lives of our students. Our men and women are offered seven intercollegiate sports and our athletes come from all over the country. The college is known for having the best athletic facilities in the Yankee Conference.  These include a state of the art gymnasium, a meeting center for teams, a weight room, a cardiovascular room, a softball field, a soccer field, and a cross country trail.

The college has been recognized nationally by the Lumina Foundation for providing access to students with financial need who are looking for a private, career-oriented higher education.
