Tuesday Tour Day – Hofstra University

This week, we’re taking a tour of Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY! pro-hofstra-11-clip

Hofstra University offers students the complete college experience – a vibrant, active campus with hundreds of cultural and social events annually, small classes with experienced faculty, access to state-of-the-art technology and facilities – all less than an hour away from downtown New York.

Whether you’ve already decided on a college major or are still thinking about a course of study, Hofstra is a great place for you. All told, Hofstra offers 1,300 different courses each semester in about 140 undergraduate program options in the liberal arts, sciences, engineering, business, communication, education, health and human services and the performing arts. Plus, with a 14-to-1 student-faculty ratio and an average class size of 21, you’ll be able to know your professors and have your questions answered.

Hofstra is large enough to allow you to be your own person but not so large that you can’t find others who share your passions. With just under 7,500 undergraduate students, you’ll never run out of new people to meet, and there are hundreds of clubs and organizations to join. You’ll find yourself building a broad array of friendships that range from those you meet in class, to those you meet in your residence hall, to those you meet in a club or organization.

Hofstra provides excellent facilities with state-of-the-art technology, extensive library resources and internship programs that match students’ interests and abilities with appropriate companies and organizations. The Hofstra community is driven, dynamic and energetic, helping students find and focus their strengths to prepare them for a successful future.
