We’ve got a Shout Out winner!

Nina Pelligra may be shorter than average, but height isn’t stopping her from anything!

The senior from Jamesville, N.Y. submitted a fantastic essay to our NextStepU Shout Out Writing Contest and is the May winner of the NextStepU contest, which also means she picked up 100 bucks!

In her piece, 4’10”, Nina talks about some of the common misconceptions people have about a person who is shorter than average. Throughout some of the most frustrating times in life, Nina has learned to brush off any skepticism and live life to the fullest.

Nina, who has maintains her own blog, will be off to her next step as a college student at Syracuse University in the fall.

If you want to try your hand at $100, enter the Shout Out Writing Contest! We’d love to hear what’s on your mind.
